Partner, Investment Specialist

Curtis started advising individuals and families on their investment and insurance needs in 2004 while working for a major insurance company that owned a broker dealer. He also had an interest in the needs of 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, so he began working with them to draft or update investment policy statements for their endowments and manage long-term assets for churches, schools and fire departments.

During the financial crisis in 2008, Curtis developed a series of fee-based discretionary investment models for his clients and he employed the models to manage assets for clients of other financial advisors as well. One of these advisors was Kevin Flick who agreed to handle the financial planning needs for Curtis’s clients in return. After seeing the benefits of working together for several years, Curtis joined the Flick Financial team in 2013 and later became a partner and co-owner with Dan Flick and Kevin Flick in 2016 when they established Flick Financial, LLC as an independent firm.

Today, Curtis is the investment specialist for the firm and remains an advisor to a limited number of clients. He still advises 501(c)(3) non-profits and enjoys helping pilots with their unique planning needs. He is licensed to sell life and health insurance in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, and West Virginia and is registered to offer securities products in Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Curtis is a Chartered Financial Consultant®(ChFC®) and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow®(LUTCF®). He holds FINRA Series 6, 63, 65, and 7 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® and a BS from Geneva College.

Curtis is a member of Grace Community Church and served as past board secretary of Lan Vwa, Inc., an international organization supporting students in Haiti and Guatemala. In his free time, he enjoys running, weight training, golf and travel. In 2018, Curtis was one of 446 people to successfully finish the one-day, sunrise to sunset, 35-mile Rachel Carson Trail Challenge in Western Pennsylvania.
